Pepper's Pups shall at all times act with integrity, responsibility and trustworthiness to clients, client’s pets and client’s property. The welfare of client’s pets is paramount and their safety and wellbeing shall not be made subordinate to any other consideration. In order to ensure we fulfil our obligations to you the client, we ask all new customers take a few minutes to agree to the terms and conditions below.

Pepper's Pups Dog Walking Services is run by Susana Sauca who suffers from extreme cat allergies. You therefore must agree to arrange a cat free collection zone for your dogs when using my services. Unfortunately this means we can not offer any cat services or dogs visits to homes where cats live.

A consultation must take place prior to your dog joining our walks. This allows us to meet your dog, discuss terms and conditions and any additional requirements your dog may have. Any dog joining Pepper's Pups group walks will have a trial introduction period. This will include being on a lead or long training line. This allows time to assess your dog and how they respond to us as well as other dogs within a group.

In the event that weather conditions are deemed too dangerous, we may adjust the walk time or length or cancel walks. In the event we have to cancel walks a home visit may be offered instead, you will be informed in advance of any change due to extreme weather conditions. 

In the event Pepper's Pups is unable to walk your dog due to illness or injury we will inform you as soon as possible. We will offer to help find cover if needed, however it may not always be possible to find a suitable alternative walker. 
We will give ample notice of any holidays/ days off we may have, in as much advance as possible. It is your responsibility to arrange cover if needed in our absence, although we will assist as much as we can but cannot guarantee another professional dog walker will be available. 

If you do not require Pepper's Pups to walk your dog for any reason for more than two consecutive weeks you must let us know as soon as possible. We may ask you to pay a retainer in order to guarantee keeping your dog’s walking space. This will be 50% of your average weekly walking fee.

Payment for using Pepper's Pups services will be discussed and agreed at the consultation visit. 
Cancellations within 48 hours are charged at the full rate. Full payment must be made by the end of the week of the service used. Failure to pay promptly may result in your dog not being walked on the following week. 

It is a legal requirement that all dogs must wear a suitable and well fitting collar or harness with a tag whilst out. Pepper's Pups is not responsible for loss or damage of any accessories such as dog tags, collars, harnesses, coats or any tracking devices that you attach to your dog whilst in Pepper's Pups' care.

If you release your house key(s) to Pepper's Pups, you may revoke this release at any time and expect your keys to be returned to you. Whilst your key(s) are in possession of Pepper's Pups, they will be kept safe, labelled with the name of your pet, so no address can be tracked.
 

In Case of Emergency

Reasonable effort will be made to contact you or your emergency contact first in the event of an emergency. However, Susana Sauca (Pepper's Pups) reserves the right to make decisions regarding your dog’s health provided it is at all times acting in the best interests of the dog. If your dog becomes unwell, has an accident or injures him/herself or seems to be in any type of pain, we might need to take him/her to a veterinary surgeon. Where possible, Pepper's Pups will attempt to take your dog to your own vets, however if this is not possible, another vets will be used. 

Susana Sauca may need to carry out any emergency first aid procedures as deemed necessary for the safety & welfare of your dog prior to immediate consultation by a veterinary professional in order that they receive the best and most appropriate care as soon as possible. 

You must tell us if

You must inform us if your unneutered bitch is in season or due to come into season. We may have to cancel or offer an alternative service such as a private walk or home visit, subject to availability. Pepper's Pups will not be liable for any accidental pregnancies if you fail to disclose this information. You must also inform us if your dog is pregnant so we can adjust walks accordingly.

You must fully disclose any quality or characteristic which might make your dog unsuitable for dog walking in groups or travelling by car, including, but not limited to: behavioural or health problems, incontinence or excessive loud barking/whining or anxiety.

Kennel cough is highly contagious and recognisable by a distinctive ‘hacking, choking’ cough. You must inform us if you suspect your dog has kennel cough. Dogs with kennel cough will not permitted in my vehicle or on group walks until the vet confirms your dog is no longer contagious (normally two weeks after the last cough). Private walks or home visits will be offered subject to availability.

With your permission Pepper's Pups will use appropriate and safe treats to reinforce positive behaviours such as recall. You must inform us of any allergies and intolerances your dog may have and update us of any changes. You must also let us know if there's any reason we can not use dog shampoo to wash your dog if he/she has rolled in something unsanitary or unsafe.
 

Off-Lead

Dogs will never be walked off-lead without prior discussion and the consent of the owner and off-lead walking will be dependant upon the reliability of dog’s recall, how they interact with other dogs and their surroundings. 
Dogs will only be walked off-lead if Susana Sauca, as dog walker considers it safe to do so. Pepper's Pups will never guarantee that dogs will be walked off-lead, even if arranged, as it would depend on multiple factors such as weather, location, other dogs and dog behaviour.
